Privacy Policy

This policy describes how MB Skydis (“we”, “us”) handles information in the Food Checker mobile application. The app helps you review food ingredients and does not require creating an account.

Information we collect

• Usage data. Firebase Analytics provides anonymous statistics about screens viewed and actions taken so we can improve the app.
• Device storage. A counter of how many scans you have used is kept on your device. It is not synced with our servers.
• Photos you scan. Ingredient photos are sent to our API so the model can read the label, then discarded. We do not keep a photo library of your scans.
• Feedback messages. If you submit feedback, the message is sent to our servers with basic diagnostic information.
• Purchases. RevenueCat and Google Play process payments for premium features. We receive purchase tokens, not full payment details.

How we use information

Information is used to provide and improve the app, personalize analysis when you opt in, respond to feedback, and manage subscriptions.

Sharing

Data may be shared with third-party services solely to operate the app:

• Google Firebase for analytics, authentication, and hosting.
• OpenAI to analyze ingredient images you submit for a scan.
• RevenueCat for in-app purchase management.

Retention

Analytics data is retained by Firebase according to their policies. Feedback messages are kept as long as necessary to address your request.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
