Snap the ingredients list. Food Checker scores the product for you — allergies, diabetes, celiac, blood pressure — then tells you the one or two things worth noticing.

How it works

Three seconds. Then a clear call.

You are holding the pack. You do not need a lecture. You need a yes, a no, or a “only if…”

01

Photograph the ingredients

Aim at the list — not the front of the box. No barcode hunt, no typing 40 names.

02

It reads the label for you

The app OCRs the text and scores it against the allergies and conditions you added.

03

Keep it, or put it back

A 1–100 score, a short why, and the specific risks — so the next shelf is easier.

Why it’s different

Generic “healthy” is not the same as safe for you.

A “clean” granola can still spike glucose. A “protein” bar can still hide gluten. The score moves when your profile moves.

Typical food apps

  • One score for everyone
  • Calories first, your body second
  • Barcode or manual search
  • A wall of nutrients

Food Checker

  • Score changes for your profile
  • Allergies and conditions first
  • Camera on the ingredients list
  • The two risks that matter, in English
1

Your profile, not a trend list

Add allergies and conditions. The same pack can be an 86 for one person and a 31 for another.

2

Fast in the store. Deep when you need it.

Stay on Fast for the aisle. Flip to Detailed for one thorough pass — then it returns to Fast.

3

Reasons you can act on

Not “contains sugar.” You see how serious it is, and whether that matters for your next meal.

Straight answers

How do plans work?

Food Checker is on Google Play with in-app plans. Start scanning, then unlock more inside the app if you need unlimited checks.

Does it work if I have allergies?

That is the point. Add the allergy or condition once. Every later scan is judged against you — not a generic “healthy” chart.

Do I need to type the ingredients?

No. Photograph the ingredients list. The app reads it. Barcode hunting is optional, not required.

Is this medical advice?

No. It is a fast, personalized reading of the label. Confirm allergies and follow your clinician if you have a diagnosis.
